The 2021 CR-Vs base LX trim is anything but basic, boasting a long list of standard features to keep you comfortable and connected behind the wheel. From the outside, the LX showcases power-adjustable side mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic multi-reflector halogen headlights, an active front shutter grille, a black roofline spoiler, and a remote entry system. The front seat offers 40.1 inches of headroom and 41.3 inches of legroom, while the second row has 39.2 inches of headroom and 40.4 inches of legroom for your passengers.

The cargo area clocks in at 39.2 cubic feet in size, although putting the rear seats down takes the capacity to 75.8 cubic feet. If you opt for the hybrid version of the CR-V, the onboard battery will take a bit of the cargo space, reducing the area to 33.2 cubic feet. With the rear seats down, the cargo area measures 68.7 cubic feet. A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine sits under the CR-V’s hood, producing 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with a continuously variable transmission that sends power to the front wheels.

The fuel economy estimates for the base trim level come in at 28 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. Front-wheel drive is standard, although all-wheel drive is available as an option. With AWD, the estimates drop slightly to 27 mpg in the city** and 32 mpg on the highway**.

The LX cabin includes manually adjustable front seats, cloth upholstery, an automatic climate control system with rear ducts, a tilt-and-telescoping steering column, a multifunctional center storage console with a sliding armrest, front and rear cup holders, and cargo area tie-down anchors to keep your gear firmly secured. On the tech side, this model boasts a four-speaker sound system with a 5-inch color LCD screen, Bluetooth connectivity for phone and streaming audio, Pandora internet radio compatibility, a front USB port, and a 12-volt outlet.

The LX trim starts at $25,350*.

The EX trim adds comfort and tech features that make for a more enjoyable ride. On the comfort side, you get illuminated vanity mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, a 12-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with four-way adjustable lumbar support, and automatic window controls for the front seats. The EX also includes an upgraded six-speaker audio system connected to a 7-inch touch screen. Additionally, it comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, HondaLink integration, satellite and HD radio, text messaging functionality, and dual second-row USB charging ports.

Exterior features include body-color accents, rear privacy glass, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, smart entry with walk-away auto-locking functionality, and heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators. The EX also tacks on blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert as part of its safety suite.

This powertrain includes a four-cylinder engine matched with a lithium-ion battery that produces a combined output of 143 horsepower. If you choose the hybrid model, your CR-V will also include LED headlights. According to EPA estimates, the hybrid CR-V returns an estimated 40 mpg in the city** and 35 mpg on the highway**.

The gas-powered EX trim starts at $27,860*, while the hybrid version has a base price of $30,560*.
