Darcy’s Cafe is known for serving some of the best home-cooked meals in the Grand Forks area. As one Yelp user noted, “The food is incredible, the staff is awesome, and the service is always fast.” They serve breakfast all day and boast an exhaustive breakfast menu. There’s something for everyone at Darcy’s.

Their breakfast platters feature a little bit of everything, such as the German Sausage platter that has German sausage, kraut, onions, two eggs, hash browns or American fries, and toast or pancakes. For the meat lovers out there, you may want to try the 6-ounce top sirloin platter served with two eggs, hash browns or American fries, and toast or pancakes.

Darcy’s also prepares incredible omelets. They have a wide range of combinations, with everything from a plain cheese omelet to an omelet with assorted meats or loads of vegetables. The Holy Pig omelet is filled with thinly sliced ham and Swiss cheese. If you’re watching what you eat, try the Healthy Pilgrim. It’s made with three egg whites, chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese.

While Darcy’s prepares some appetizing breakfast meats, eggs, and potatoes, they also serve up fluffy, delicious pancakes. Enjoy them plain with butter and syrup, or add your choice of blueberries or chocolate chips. If you’re not in the mood for a full meal, you can order off their Breakfast Sides menu. Choose from items like hash browns, brioche French toast, oatmeal, or caramel and pecan rolls.

Darcy’s is located at 1015 North Washington in Grand Forks. Prices range from $5.99 to $12.99 for breakfast platters, $3.99 to $9.99 for pancakes, and $9.29 to $13.39 for omelets.

One of the largest restaurants in the Grand Forks area, the Northside Cafe is a family-friendly diner full of both regular customers and visitors alike. They serve a selection of American cuisines like breakfast fare, classic sandwiches, hand-pattied burgers, steak dinners, and soups and salads. They are well-known for their breakfast menu that features popular breakfast food as well as unique breakfast dishes.

The Country Stuffed Hash Browns are layered with crispy hash browns, country fried steak, country gravy, two scrambled eggs, colby jack cheese, and then topped with another layer of hash browns. You can also choose either pancakes or toast to accompany your stuffed hash brown platter.

Northside Cafe has several varieties of omelets such as the Garbage, which has ham, bacon, sausage, onions, green peppers, mushrooms, and cheese, or the Hawaiian, which is prepared with pineapple, Swiss cheese, and ham. Their popular breakfast platters include steak and eggs, corned beef hash and eggs, biscuits and gravy, and a breakfast sandwich with your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage. Sky’s

With an unforgettable view of beautiful downtown Grand Forks, Sky’s is certainly a superb fine dining experience. Named Food & Wine’s most romantic restaurant in the state of North Dakota in 2018, this restaurant serves dinner, cocktails, and desserts, as well as lounge fare in the adjacent Cloud 9 Lounge. On Sundays, they serve an exquisite brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that is well worth waiting for all week long.

Begin your Sunday brunch with a cocktail or two. Choose from their champagne cocktails, such as a mimosa or bellini, or one of their breakfast cocktails, like the Bloody Mary or Bloody Caesar. You may also want to try one of their French cocktails such as the Kir Royale, which is created by mixing Chambord black raspberry liqueur and Freixenet cordon brut cava.

Their hearty brunch entrees include delectable cuisines like Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Huevos Rancheros, and Creme Brulee French Toast. They also serve traditional fares like shrimp and grits and steak and eggs. The one-of-a-kind omelets at Sky’s include the Vegetable, full of shiitake mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, Havarti cheese, and mornay sauce, or the Tuscan, prepared with capicola, sun-dried tomatoes, and pepperoncini. For those who want a lighter meal, Sky’s has an Odds and Ends menu that includes BLT on Texas toast, beignets, or a berry parfait.

Cocktails range in price from $6 to $10, and their brunch entrees, including omelets, begin at $14.

French Taste

French Taste was opened in 2018 by Warren, a Parisian chef whose goal is to spread awareness of the French culture through his delicious sweet and savory crepes. What began as a food truck has now resulted in a restaurant inside the Ferguson Bookstore, located at 1720 South Washington St. in Grand Forks. Along with their appetizing crepes, they also serve a variety of hot and iced drinks.

Begin your brunch with one of the Sweet Crepes from French Taste. Choose a simple, yet delicious sugar or Nutella crepe, or select from one of their other varieties such as the Banana, Peanut Butter, and Knight’s Urban Honey, the Smore’s, or the Blueberry Caramel crepe. If you enjoy more exquisite flavors, choose from a wide selection of their Savory Crepes. They have smoked salmon or smoked chicken varieties with your choice of cheese and sour cream, or ham, bacon, and sausage, with egg and cheese crepes. You can always order one of their more unique crepes like the pepperoni pizza, barbecue pulled pork, beef or chicken taco, or Philly cheesesteak.

Don’t leave French Taste without taking home one of their hot or iced drinks. Choose a French espresso, Americano, latte, chai tea, or hot chocolate. Iced drinks include strawberry or mango smoothies, iced coffee or espresso, and super juice drinks.

Crepe prices range from $4.99 to $8.39 each, and hot and iced drinks range in price from $1 to $4.99.
